Small Business Blogs – Are You Blogging For Comments Or Do You Blog For Dollars?

If you run a small business blog you need to consider why you are blogging. You must always realize that you should maintain one goal in mind. And that is to communicate with your customers and future customers, build up your local community goodwill and brand name, while giving any reason to your clientele to shop with you early and often. Your clients need to know about your services and product offers. They need to know you care about them, and some of them require little bit of individual attention.

Far too often, when I consult with small business people that own blogs I find that they are more concerned with getting lots of comments for each blog post, or getting compliments on their blogs. It is great to get lots of comments, and yes, you can put interesting information that is perhaps a little controversial or newsworthy type events and receive lots of comments, but you really need to be talking about things that your business does, and reasons your customers should shop with you, and refer their friends Best Travel Tips.

Blogs are a wonderful tool for communication with your customers, and they are a good way to show the consumer that you care. Remember you should be blogging for dollars, and you should not just blog to get more comments. It’s far more important to drive traffic to your online Internet website if you sell something online, or to drive customers into your store to buy something.

Just because you have a small business blog doesn’t mean you should see it as a personality contest. You must concentrate on making money, delivering value, and educating the consumer, your customers, and your clientele. I hope you will please consider this as you develop your new strategy for your business blog to do just that.
